Dr. John Billharz

Dr. (Buzz) Billharz grew up in Northern Nevada and spent many happy summers at Donner Lake in California. His undergraduate degree is in theology and missions, his medical degree comes from the University of Utah, and he completed residency at Children’s Mercy in 2012. He spent five years taking care of children and families at his previous practice before branching out in 2017 to start a practice of his own. Dr. Buzz loves medical missions and travels overseas as often as he is able to care for communities in need.

Parents and children are drawn to Dr. Buzz because he is compassionate, thorough, kind, and attentive.  No one is just another number to him. He strives to empower parents to make the best decisions possible regarding the care and upbringing of their children.

Dr. Eric Burns

Dr. Burns was born and raised in the Northland, and is a proud graduate of North Kansas City High School. His only 4 years spent outside of Kansas City were while attending Stanford University, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Human Biology. He went on to attend the University of Kansas for medical school, where he also completed his residency training in Pediatrics. Dr. Burns enjoys all things Kansas City, as well as traveling, music, spending time with his wife Laura, and keeping up to date with sports and pop culture.

Dr. Burns strives to establish meaningful and lasting relationships with patients and their families, from birth through the start of adulthood. He takes pride in his ability to find a common ground with anyone he encounters, and by doing so is able to communicate clearly and effectively while providing the best care possible. Dr. Burns is excited to be a part of Redwood, and to practice in the community that helped shape him into the physician he is today.

Dr. Lacey Boshe

Dr. Boshe is from Marshfield, MO, a small town in the southwestern part of the state. She was active in sports growing up and enjoys kayaking and playing the piano. Her undergraduate degrees are in Cell & Molecular Biology and Spanish from Missouri State University. She obtained her medical degree from the University of North Carolina and returned to Missouri to complete her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Dr. Boshe is looking forward to building relationships in her community by caring for both English and Spanish-speaking families. She enjoys helping parents make excellent healthcare decisions for their children and supporting children and adolescents through the various stages of life. She strives to make a visit to the doctor a pleasant experience.

Dr. Clara Brown

Dr. Brown grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She then moved to Kansas City to complete her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She is excited to now call KC home and to have the honor and privilege of serving children and families in her community.

Dr. Brown loves building strong relationships with families and empowering them with the knowledge to navigate the challenges and joys that come with each stage of development. Her goal as a pediatrician is to promote both physical and mental health through evidence-based care, focus on prevention, and treat the whole person and family. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband Terry, taking their two spunky dogs for walks, and being outdoors. She looks forward to getting to know you!

Shannon Gray

Shannon Gray obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Mary’s University. She went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and is certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.

Shannon loves educating parents about their child’s developmental milestones and counseling them on their age-appropriate behavior. She is passionate about providing comprehensive health care from a team approach empowering her patients and their families with preventative education. Throughout her twelve years as a nurse, she has worked in primary care pediatrics, and is ready to begin developing long term relationships with her patients and families, providing them with the best care possible.

Molly Dixon

Molly obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Missouri. She went on to further her education with her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She is certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board where she is also a Certified Pediatric Nurse.

Molly has spent the last 13 years taking care of hospitalized children at Children’s Mercy Hospital on a medical surgical unit. She has a passion for making children smile and educating them about their bodies. She loves supporting and educating families with an encouraging attitude. She is excited to embark on developing relationships with her patients and families and providing them with thorough care.

Molly is married with three children and loves Kansas City and all it has to offer! She enjoys spending time outdoors whenever possible and enjoying time with her family. Molly is thrilled to be a part of the Redwood family!

Emily Murdock

Emily Murdock obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC), and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing (also from UMKC). She is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner, allowing her to care for patients of all ages. She is also specialized as a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) through the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing.

She has had the privilege of working at a local children’s hospital for over 15 years in the settings of Urgent Care and Emergency Services, and has a passion to care for children during stressful times of acute illness and injury. She is prepared to provide evaluations specific to the individual needs of each patient and offer families the resources and education necessary to promote recovery and well-being. In collaboration with Dr. Billharz and his amazing staff, she is excited to bring her experience to Redwood Pediatrics as well as advocate for pediatric patients and their families through preventative care and wellness exams.
