Dr. Tryon grew up in a small town in Oklahoma: Miami. She completed her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma. She completed her training in Pediatrics from the University of South Dakota and completed specialty training in Pediatric Critical Care from the University of Louisville. While she only lived in Kansas City for 3 years as a child, she has deep family ties to the area with her parents living in Parkville until 2017 when they relocated to Smithville.

Chris is a Christian who believes that God has called her to serve children and families. While she has extra training in caring for sick children, she primarily desires to empower families to make individualized changes to prevent, and minimalize, illnesses and injuries. Chris feels caring for the entire patient, both physical, psychological, and spiritual, leads to the best long term health. She looks forward to building strong relationships with her patients and their families over the coming years.

Chris enjoys spending quality time with family, friends and the furry loves of her life: her Bernedoodle puppy named Sadie and her rescue dog Phoenix. Her hobbies include lap swimming, sewing, baking, and learning new things. She looks forward to meeting you!
